The meeting was called to order at approx. 8:02 p.m. - on-line Moderator/Chair. – Vice President Shirley Bell

• Doris: We have 2 members nominated for the President's position.  Melissa Mathers and Leah Quiring.  Both member have agreed to let their names stand.
• Mary: I will send out an email to all members with an address that they are to send their votes to.
• Kim: I have to resign my position of treasurer but am willing to stay until the end of the year to help whoever takes over
• Shirley: Thanks for doing a great job ,Kim!!
• Shirley: When will votes be due ?
• Mary: We will have to ask for nominations for treasurer and or any that would like to do the job.
• I think we can do the votes for President in the next week or two. As for Treasurer we will need a bit more time to get nominations.
• Doris: I haven't checked to see how long we have to wait for votes, but should be before the next meeting?
• Mary: Yes Doris for President the voting will be done before the next meeting.
• Krish: Do Probationary members get to vote ?

• Mary: We will need to send a notice to all members re: treasure before we can set up voting for that
• Shirley: Mary is there anything else we need to know about the voting procedure?
• Doris: Could we set a date for voting to be done by?
• Mary: I will put it all in an email to all members for both positions so everybody knows what we re doing.

• Mary: The voting site that we used to use does not seem to be active now so we will do it this way
• Shirley: Ok so following this meeting in the next day or two ( I know you haven’t been well Mary) Mary will send out email with voting details.

Doris: Just a reminder that 2022 Membership dues are due by December 31, 2021. I'll send out reminders in the next month or so.
Jane: I haven’t heard about any member who might need a card or some cheer up. Could you let me know if that might not be the most current knowledge, please.
Shirley: Mary has been ill for a long time.  A nice floral arrangement would be appreciated I am sure

Shirley: I have something that has recently been brought to my attention regarding the CWDF Canadian Working Dog Federation.
It seems that the Boxer Club of Canada is a member of said club.  The CWDF is not recognized by CKC, AKC or FCI.
Melissa....the info I was given about the CWDF is this:
CWDF is a rogue club and has not been recognized by the CKC.
- no permissions should be given to them by the CKC
- The CWDF 2019 ruling from FCI....their status is pending approval into CKC
CKC denied membership to them. That made them a 3rd party unrecognized organization
- There is no governing body for the CWDF....they are doing what they want
-- original agreement with breed clubs to CKC was the CWDF was to hold one event, a qualifier for
the Canadian World team. That team was with agreement to the breed clubs only for breed clubs
and was to be renewed yearly. Has not occurred since the original agreement in 2018.
- For the CWDF to remain intact every breed club had to agree for that to continue which as stated
has not occurred.
- not all breed clubs have agreed and the CWDF has chosen to replace breed clubs with 3rd party sport
(GSSCC) All of this should have ended but has not
- we have verification from FCI that article 11 was and is to be followed which is currently being broken.
Article 11 is the statute of FCI in 2 paragraphs dictates what CKC has to follow and all activities are
for CKC or national breed clubs only. This has negatively impacted all breed clubs and the authority
of which they hold for their prospective breeds. Changes financial growth and membership growth of clubs
and most important is having authority of their own organization.
 -Breed parent clubs need to seize control of their respective breeds and these activities should by language be
up to the breed clubs to work together and not pass to a rogue club
Breed clubs themselves are unaware that the representative of their clubs within the CWDF are making decisions that effect all breed clubs without their boards knowing what is happening.

Melissa: Not sure member is what we are but the club voted to be involved with the CWDF a few yrs back. As corresponding secretary, I am cc'd on their emails.
Shirley: I would like to recommend that we sever our involvement with them.
Cindy Should we not get the other story first before we decide whether we sever our involvement?
Shirley: Sure that would be fair.  Would you look into it and get back to us for the next meeting ?
